Right, so here’s the deal: Meer looks and sounds identical enough to Lacus that when Athrun sees her for the first time at PLANT – after having seen Lacus, like, two days ago on Earth – he assumes she’s Lacus. After that, Athrun distinguishes them fine for the rest of the series, but no one else (except the Archangel crew and, like, Miriallia?) ever thinks she’s anyone but Lacus.

So yeah, feel free to tell them apart, but the whole point of Meer is, well, that she has the same face and voice as Lacus. And – for players and characters – here’s the pocket guide to spotting Meer Campbell in the wild.

- Hair: Meer’s is actually slightly brighter (slightly redder?) than Lacus’s, and Meer’s is mostly straight while Lacus’s is mostly wavy.
- Hairclip: Lacus almost always wears the Nike-logo-ish clip, while Meer wears a star.
- B-body type: I mean, Lacus is a busty babe and all, but yeah. Characters comment on the fact that she’s definitely chestier.
- Haro: Meer has a little red one, Lacus has a little pink one! Well, in addition to her ARMY of them.
- Height: I used to work off an old trading card that said Meer was 170cm, but apparently she’s 160cm, same height as Lacus! Who knew? Besides GundamOfficial.

Well, okay, I listed a couple fandoms in the match-ups, but, I mean, if you know I like something and want to write about it, go for it! I'm not really picky... I actually don't know why I put "write" there; you can give me anything and I'll be happy. I'd also like to think that I'm pretty good at taking ANYTHING so IT'S ALL GOOD. Emo, crack, fluff, romance, etc.

Uh, for pairings... I know that for canons I listed SEED, Ouran, Tutu, DNAngel, Fafner, and Keys to the Kingdom (I'm curious to see if my Secret Santa actually knows that last one! XD)... I'm okay with almost all pairings for those fandoms, I think! But if you write Athrun/Cagalli I might be sad, because fandom turned me off that pairing. Aaaah, I don't know what to say here. And if you want to randomly write something else, well, some other fandoms... A Series of Unfortunate Events, RahXephon, anything by Christopher Moore, Chrono Crusade, Avenger (b-because I think I'm the only one who watched that show sometimes), Star Wars, Redwall (is that even allowed?), Dianna Wynne Jones stuff (Chrestomanci, Dalemark, Howl), and Code Geass.

This is my CFUD Secret Santa OOC post, apparently, because Shinn's is a bit cluttered and nothing happens on Rinko's. Hm...

Dear Santa:

For Christmas, I don't know what I want, but here goes. My best beloved fandom is, at the moment, Gundam SEED Destiny. I dislike Gil/Meer as a pairing and anything that involves Stellar having sex but, aside from that, I'm pretty open. My favorite pairings are Shinn-pairings, as narcissistic and horrible as that may sound. I love Shinn -- with Athrun, Kira, Stellar, Rey, Neo, Gil, oh, whatever, anyone. But I'll also take any fluff, crack, or whatever if you know the fandom. Meer fic is nice because I think there needs to be more, and I'd kill for really good post-Destiny stuff. Although no AsuCaga plz, just because AsuCaga is the pairing that already ate the fandom.

Other fandoms I'd like to see stuff for... Soukyuu no Fafner? SouKazu, KazuMaya, MichioYumiko... And D.N. Angel. I like just about every pairing -- including Satoshi/Risa. Or Argentine/Risa, or Satoshi/Daisuke... anything, whut. Law of Ueki, if you have it. You can throw me anything with Law of Ueki, though I don't like Hideyoshi as much as the other characters. Other fandoms that I guess a lot of people might not know but I like anyways are Juvenile Orion (angel boy love?), Garth Nix's Keys to the Kingdom (Arthur and Suzy as a pairing or having cracked out antics, or any sort of slash), Amulet of Samarkaand/The Bartimaeus Trilogy (Nathaniel and Kitty, antics or a pairing).

And, hey, Santa, if you don't know any of those, there's always the old fallback of Harry Potter. Write me something fun without leather pants!Draco. Bleach, Naruto, and Death Note are workable, too, though I'm not too current on them. Star Wars? I'm not beyond Luke getting married in the Extended Universe, but hit me with some if you want. And if, for some reason you don't know HP or Star Wars (... somehow), I'd also go for some good old fashioned political RPS.

In a nutshell, Meer Campbell (as I play her and, as I see it, in canon) has several sides:

1) "Lacus-sama." This is a cheerful, hyper-genki face that she puts on to cover up whatever she actually feels. To an extent, acting this way has become so natural that it is her. "Lacus-sama" can also be a battle tactic, particularly with people like Rey, Stan, and Mello, all for various reasons.
2) Emo!Meer. Emo!Meer comes out right after Lacus-sama is shattered. Meer is left, essentially, completely off-guard and vulnerable.
3) Meer Campbell. At heart, Meer wants to help people. When not trying to be Lacus-sama, she is willing to listen to people, and, though a bit flighty and odd, wants to be needed and supported at the same time.

She is dominated by a drive to be needed in canon which I have extrapolated to a drive to be appreciated in relationships. Sometimes, this drive to be needed and help people leads her to, well, piss off her "projects," people she thinks would be much happier if she could just completely alter their personalities. She likes it when people boost her self-esteem.
